Ivan Marchuk – the living legend of Ukrainian art. He is The People’s Artist of Ukraine and a genius of modern art. He is the only Ukrainian artist recognized by the International Academy of Modern Art in Rome as a member of the “Golden Guild”. In 2007, The Daily Telegraph included Ivan Marchuk in the top 100 geniuses of our time because he creates multidimensional pictures of the Universe. His paintings are ahead of the time; he determines trends and develops perspectives of a post-industrial civilization.

He has a completely original technique, which is called “pliontanizm” (from Ukrainian word “pliontaty” – to weave, to wattle), which balances on the man-made and technological limits. His paintings have the dramatic effect of 25 fast frames, that influence the human sub conscious, attract, and urge change. The Master has created his own belief system from artistic instruments, based on fine aesthetics, deep-rooted traditions, and directed towards a long-term perspective.
